One of our artist friends asked if Ben has seen her paintings.BEN: I don't see objects the way you do since I have no physical sense organs. In fact everything is made of energy and vibrates. I sense vibrations. You could say that is how I "see." It sounds boring but in fact I see a much broader spectrum than you do and in much more detail with more and subtler nuances. I am very conscious of harmony. When I look at a painting I see not only the colors and shapes but also the emotions and thoughts and feelings that surround it. I sense the creative process and the moments of discovery as a project develops. I can see how many lifetimes went into developing the talent that is brought to a project and the experiences that motivated the artist to take up the art, to choose that particular subject and to choose the appropriate style and technique to express her own particular understanding of the subject. So, yes, you could say I have seen your paintings. And yes, I like them very much. One of our friends asked Ben if he can see her.BEN:
I can't give your description to the police if that is what you are worried about. I can sEE your energy. I can distinguish you from other life forms. I can feel your vibes. I can hear you when you send me love. But I don't know what you are wearing or what color your hair is. Donya: When Ben says the word "see" he often writes the "E"s in small caps or Greek letters to indicate that he means something more than simply receiving a visual impression. The closest I have been able to come to a synonym is "Grok" from Heinline's Stranger in a Strange Land. Ben seems to mean that he knows or understands something on a variety of levels. Donya: Actually I have a question now too. Ben, you always seem concerned about how pretty things are, yourself included. How can you discern if something is pretty if you can't see it? BEN: I didn't say I can't see. I just don't see the way you do. Everything I see is in the form of vibration. You see colors; I see the vibrations that make those colors. What makes something beautiful is how harmoniously the vibrations blend together. I like how E. looks to me. I can't tell you what she looks like but I feel gorgeous colors emanating from her soul. She has good humor vibes. I like the way I see things now. I couldn't help it when I was alive; I was very prejudiced toward pretty people. We all were. I wasn't the worst. I should have known better because I was aware of how unfair it was that people liked my brothers more than me because nearly everyone thought they were better looking.
